Mr & Mrs Buyer can I please explain how this works??
First off I would like to say that I will serve you to the best of my ability and will give you my honest opinion through your transaction…… I will try to be available when you have found yet another house that you would like to see I am pretty good at time management.
So we have spent some time together, I have gotten to know what it is that you are looking for because we have visited a few homes that just did NOT appeal to you and some that ALMOST had everything that you were looking for. Days and weeks go by as we are in a constant pursuit of just the right home, and I wouldn’t want you to settle for anything less! Me, I am in it for the long haul and my goal is always to get the client to their goal!
We have been together for awhile now and you want to see a home and I just cant fit it in this afternoon, although through the last few weeks I was able to get you in when you wanted…..
You call another agent (you think I will never know, it should be fine) but then that agent talks you into writing an offer on that home! They have put in no time with you, really have no handle on what is really going to work best for you but they talk quick and before you know it you have done it now!
Then you have to call me but you don’t want to tell me what really happened you say that all this looking had taken its toll and your not even sure that you want to buy right now and want to terminate our buyer agency agreement. Most real estate communities are really small in reality and it is amazing what you may hear, sometimes I am even surprised myself. Call it karma…
You see, no matter what my goal, as I said before, is to get my client to their goal so I could never wish you ill will. But one thing that you need to know is that all those days that I showed you properties, waited for your other family members to arrive, drove all over the county…. Well I don’t get paid for any of that now. Would you go to work for days, hours and not expect to get paid?
So please think before you jump boat from a agent that has spent so much time getting to know your needs spent time talking you through the process. Then you cant even be honest with YOUR agent, me, because your a little ashamed of your actions maybe?
I know we live in a world of instant gratification and I understand that need to have something right now! But a wise woman in my life use to always say “the good things are worth waiting for”.
